In the spring of 2012 I attended the SxSWEDU conference in Austin, Texas, where I had the good fortune to meet Yancy Unger, an administrator in the Indiana State Department of Education. I attended his presentation on curation in education and became excited about the idea of using digital tools to organize and deliver content.

Not long after that conference, in May 2012, I attended the Indiana Teaching Conference with Dr. Wendy Donnell. We had the opportunity to tour schools in Scottsburg, IN and to talk with Yancy regarding how the schools in this district use a learning management system called My Big Campus to build "bundles of learning."

The following are examples of bundles I subsequently created to assist learning in courses, presentations, and professional development sessions in the School of Education. The Academic Curation bundle was a collaborative effort between Dr. Wendy Donnell, Megan Carnes (a graduate of Avila University), and me. This bundle was shared during our AAC&U presentation at the 2013 Academic Renewal Conference in Boston, as well as during the Tools and Tricks to Transform Learning course I created this summer.

The second link is one of the many bundles I created as I developed the Professional Development sessions to support the School of Education as Avila transitioned from the Angel learning management system into Canvas. The content for this bundle was ePortfolios.
